Derrius Quarles is a multifaceted social entrepreneur, human rights activist, author, recording artist, and product designer from Chicago. He co-founded BREAUX Capital, an innovative financial technology platform for Black men, and Million Dollar Scholar, an education enterprise helping students secure over $5.5 million in scholarships. He authored Million Dollar Scholar: Winning The Scholarship Race, which has guided tens of thousands globally to affordable higher education.
Derrius has been recognized on CNN, NBC News, and MTV2 for his work and was awarded the Points of Light Award by President Obama in 2013. He has spoken at prestigious venues like Harvard University, the United Nations, and TED, where he delivered the impactful talk "How banks are failing African-Americans." In 2018, Inc. Magazine included Derrius and BREAUX Capital in its 30 Under 30 list.
